Penpont Brewery's first birthday, being celebrated with the full range of beers, plus specially made pies and puddings at the Rising Sun, Altarnun. Ale tasting at The Royal Cornwall Showground, organised by Wadebridge Wines. In-store Penpont ale tasting at North Coast Wine Company in Bude.   Holsworthy Show: We shall be there... in the food and drink tent. Continuing this summers activities we attended our local show, the ground is a mere 2 miles from the brewery. A somewhat soggy day, but all good fun. We were in the food and drink tent. Jousting: In the continued celebration of Camelfords 750th anniversary of their existence as a town, a medieval joust and such like day was held at Slaughterbridge. We had the  pleasure of running the beer tent. Brewery co-owner Dee completes the Ruby half marathon run in Holsworthy. The Royal Cornwall Show: Cornwall's big show of the year, we had a stand in the food and drink tent. A rather good couple of days. New Fermenters: We've just had new fermenters installed upping our capacity somewhat. Whisky Barrels: 4x 54gallon whisky hogsheads have been obtained from Skinners cooperage in Liverpool. These casks were originally used for Sherry and then for maturing Glenlivet whisky. Now we intend to mature some of our stronger ales in them, watch 'Our Beer' page for more.
